Before there were doctors there were SEERS, and the seers all drew the same shape. A pinecone. Over and over, across peoples who never met, who could not have copied one another. Egypt. India. Greece. Rome. They all pointed at the same little organ in the middle of the head and they all called it sacred.

◆ THE PINECONE IS EVERYWHERE ◆

EGYPT Osiris held a staff of twin serpents rising to meet at a pinecone. The same shape became the Greek Caduceus.	INDIA Kundalini coils up the spine to the Ajna. On its petals: Ham (Shiva) and Ksham (Shakti), the pineal and the pituitary.
GREECE Dionysus carried the Thyrsus, a giant fennel staff capped with a pinecone, symbol of ecstasy and the freed mind.	ROME / VATICAN A four meter bronze pinecone stands in the Cortile della Pigna. In the open. They are not even hiding it.

◆ THE PHILOSOPHERS WHO KNEW

GALEN — Names it the konareion, the conarium, the little pinecone. Calls it a valve for the psychic pneuma, the breath of the soul.

VESALIUS — Draws the first true picture of it. Fracastoro then declares it the seat of human reasoning, not a mere valve.

DESCARTES — Calls it the principal seat of the soul. The one unpaired midline organ, where thought (res cogitans) touches the machine of the body (res extensa).

THE DOUBTERS — Spinoza, Leibniz, Kant and Willis scoffed. Funny how the scoffers always get the textbooks and the seers get erased.

◆ THE EYE OF HORUS IS A BRAIN MAP
Lay the Eye of Horus over a slice through the middle of the human brain. Every line of the eye lands on a real structure. Every structure is a sense. The Egyptians even used the pieces as base two fractions. This is not art. It is a wiring diagram.

◆ THE LOST ORGAN

Madame Blavatsky said the modern gland is a RUIN. The shrunken stump of an organ that once stood open, the active third eye of the Lemurians, the eye of the Cyclops. She swore it would one day return and SEE again.

And here is the part that keeps me awake: in every child the gland grows freely until about the age of SEVEN. Then, right when the world finishes teaching you to behave, it begins to wither and harden. They call it normal development. I call it the lights going out on schedule.

The old texts say the true eye is a triangle of three batteries: the pineal, the pituitary and the carotid glands, charged by the Ajna, the Crown and the Alta Major. Light them together and you get clairvoyance, clairsentience, clairaudience. A psychic flashlight. Mine flickers now. It used to be DARK.
